Thank you to everyone who participated in the 5K Race held at Turkey Creek Golf Club to benefit the upcoming mission trip to the Dominican Republic. The purpose of this mission trip is to provide 80+ students from a school for the deaf a wonderful opportunity to spend a entire week at camp. The students will enjoy swimming, sports, crafts, and three square meals a day (rare for most of these children). At the conclusions of the 5K Race our own Dr. Phillip and Jennifer Barkley and the rest of the praise and worship band members of the First United Methodist Church of Alachua led the crowd in song. It was a rock'n good time!
