Introducing LATISSE™
A presciption treatment used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker.
WHAT IS LATISSE™ LATISSE™ solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (having inadequate or not enough eyelashes) used to grow eyelashes, making them grow longer, thicker, and darker.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
LATISSE™ is believed to affect the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle in 2 ways: first, it increases the length of this phase; and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?
The onset of effect with LATISSE™ solution is gradual. In the clinical trial, the majority of LATISSE™ users saw a significant improvement by 2 months.
HOW IS LATISSE™ DIFFERENT?
Only LATISSE™ has been approved by the FDA as a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes. It also has been studied in clinical trial to demonstrate its safety and effectiveness. |
Ask the Surgeon:
Dr. Richard Sadove
A facelift is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck.
Choose a surgeon you can trust. Plastic surgery involves many choices. The first and most important is selecting a surgeon you can trust.
Have you selected a physician who: Is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery? Has decades of experience doing the operation you want? Can show you many clear examples of his/her own work? Shows you your own face in detail on a computer screen?
What happens during facelift surgery? Step 1 - Anesthesia Medications are administered for your comfort during the surgical procedure by a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist or Anesthesiologist. The choices include intravenous "twilight" sedation and general anesthesia. Your doctor will recommend the best choice for you.
Step 2 - The incision Today "short-scar" limited incisions begin at the top of the ear, continues in front, and ends behind the lobule of the ear. Fat from the face, jowls and neck are sculpted, repositioned and lifted. Skin is re-draped over the uplifted contours and excess skin is trimmed away. Loose neck skin and fat accumulation under the chin may be corrected with a neck lift via a second incision under the chin to further improve an aging neck. Facelifts do not correct the neck. Once healed, the incision lines from a facelift are well concealed within the natural contours.
Step 3 - See the long lasting results
Your final result should not only restore a more youthful appearance, but also help you feel more confident about yourself. The decision to have a facelift is extremely personal. Your plastic surgeon will explain in detail the risks associated with surgery. Depending on the procedure, many patients return to work in about a week. The results are long-lasting.
How much will facelift surgery cost? Cost is always a consideration. Prices for facelifts can vary widely. A surgeon's cost may vary based on his experience. Many plastic surgeons offer patient financing plans, so be sure to ask.
Cost may include: Surgeon's fee Surgical facility costs Anesthesia fees
Your satisfaction involves more than a fee. When choosing a plastic surgeon for facelift surgery, remember that the surgeon's experience and your comfort with him/her are just as important as the final cost of the surgery.
Dr. Richard Sadove has over 25 years of surgery experience, has lectured in over 30 countries, is on the editorial board for the International Cosmetic Surgery Journal, and has published over 40 scientific articles and textbook chapters on plastic surgery. |

"Hope Happens Here. MISSION:MAKEOVER Reveal Party"
A tremendous thank you goes out to all those who participated in and attended the "Hope Happens Here. MISSION:MAKEOVER Reveal Party" held on April 16th to benefit Peaceful Paths Domestic Abuse Network. Numerous local and national businesses contributed to the effort as well as good-hearted individuals wanting to make a difference. The evening's event raised over $7,250 for Peaceful Paths. A Few of our Favorite Things Dermacare staff talk about the procedures they love
"My favorite treatment removes hemangiomas. I have had hemangiomas treated with our lasers and now they are gone! Hemangiomas are benign tumors filled with blood vessels that can cause irritation and are generally just unattractive. They can occur anywhere and can increase in number. We have two different lasers that are used for this procedure and the same laser procedure is also used to treat larger veins on the legs as well as smaller veins on the face."
-Tonianne Grobmyer, RPA-C
"My favorite treatment is Botox because it's quick and effective and makes me look rested and just feel good about myself. It can benefit anyone from their 20's on by offering prevention as well as helping to decrease established fine lines and wrinkles. Most people we see, both
men and women, are concerned about crow's feet and forehead lines. Botox can certainly help. The bottom line is if you need a quick lift for a special occasion (or anytime) Botox is the right way to go to achieve fast results, look younger, more refreshed, and feel better about yourself."
-Kiahla Stanley, Consultant

"Years ago I had a suspicious mole removed off my thigh that left an unsightly, raised, bright-red scar. I was embarrassed to wear shorts or swim suits for a long time. After about five treatments with Dermacare's Coolglide Vantage Laser, it is now flesh colored and flat. I've seen similar results on our patients red scars and on their red stretch marks as well. Another favorite treatment of mine is the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) FotoFacial for brown spots. In fact, I am a walking before and after photo. I purposely have had a couple of IPL FotoFacial treatments on one arm and no treatment on the other. I am frequently asked by people I meet, 'What kind of treatments do you do at Dermacare?' I roll up my sleeves and show them my two arms. The difference is so dramatic that their comments always begin with 'Wow!' Our FotoFacial is a laser treatment that decreases age and sun spots with high energy light waves. With each treatment, the results become more pronounced. Most common areas treated are faces, arms, hands, necks, and decollates."
