A letter from Jennifer Barkley, Co-Owner and Clinic Manager of Dermacare
I would like to personally thank you for your interest in Dermacare Laser and Skin Care Clinics. The world of laser and skin aesthetics is rapidly changing and expanding, and you may be wondering how to choose the right clinic. If cutting edge technology, exceptional personal service and experienced medical professionals who are passionate about achieving results are important to you, then you have found the right clinic.
Since opening our doors in February of 2006 Dermacare has been providing local clientele with the most comprehensive care for skin rejuvenation. The high-tech equipment and products at our clinic are, as one client put it, “as exciting as a day at Disney's EPCOT”. To guide you around the office are our amazing staff members, who refer to themselves and our clients as “family”. This welcoming and joyful attitude is apparent from the minute you walk through the door.
The clinicians and staff at Dermacare truly make a difference in people's lives, not only in the clinic, but in the community as well by Dermacare's unique philanthropic efforts. The DermacareCARES program was originally created in 2006 to extend specialized acne treatment services, at no charge, to teens in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. The DermacareCARES program over the past years has also provided tens of thousands of dollars worth of services, products, and monetary donations to local charitable and non-profit organizations including The Boys and Girls Club, Peaceful Paths and STOP Children's Cancer to name just a few.
Since 2008 DermacareCARES has adopted an additional focus--providing funding and supplies for medical missions and other outreach projects in the Dominican Republic. DermacareCARES has provided the necessary funding to send a team of hardworking, dedicated individuals to the Dominican Republic to provide medical care to hundreds of villagers in the poorest areas of the capital city, Santo Domingo. Our newest project benefits Centro de Sordos, a school for deaf children in the Dominican Republic. For the past four years DermacareCARES has also helped to send volunteers and resources to put on a week-long, overnight Bible school camp called Camp Hands of Joy for 80+ deaf children. For these children, many of whom live in severe poverty, a week at camp means three square meals per day, a feeling of security, and a chance to have a lot of fun. Subscribers to our Dermacare e-newsletter are kept informed of ways they can help with this very worthy cause such as donating items to the Camp Hands of Joy rummage sale, sponsoring a child for only $80, or purchasing tickets for our Dermacare Makeover Raffle with all proceeds going to the cost of putting on the camp.
My husband Phil and I feel so blessed to have a staff who not only care deeply about each other and their clients, but also care about other people who are in need locally and internationally, and choose to “give back”.
We hope you will consider choosing Dermacare Laser and Skin Care Clinic for your skin care needs. We look forward to meeting you!
